ORTIN CAM
At the tender age of 15 Ortin Cam started making beats with an old school computer. Picking up on DJing as well, he continued to hone his craft for the next few years until a local radio station invited him to play some records on air. Soon thereafter the Headroom Group, running a large array of techno labels, got wind of this new kid on the block. His very first demo recording went on to be the Provoked EP (Invasion 11) and 17 year old Ortin's debut. He has released tracks on Pornographic, Invasion, Session, Traction, Corachi, Anlx, Bound, Highland Beats, In-Cycle and Sino's sublabel Minimaxima.
FELT - ORTIN CAM

Luke Slater's Mote-Evolver label pushes on to its fourteenth release with the momentum firmly behind them. With Cari Lekebusch's "Spindizzy" release riding high in the sales charts and attracting wide praise and excitement.
Having taken care of business in spectacular fashion with his "Carnage" track on Mote-Evolver back in September, Ortin Cam is back with more of his trademark floor-shaking futuristic techno. A significant force within Belgium's ever-reliable techno scene, Ortin Cam's rousing music has led him to be a regular contributor for leading labels such as Drumcode and Invasion. This EP on Mote-Evolver is further evidence why Ortin Cam's distinctive style is on the rise.
Felt - Part 1 is the sort of full-force techno which fans of previous Mote-Evolver release, Carnage, will jump at. Heavily industrial with a knock-out kick drum, the track progresses through a series of intensifying phases before bringing it all back together for a crescendo of disorientating madness.
Inner City rounds off the EP in fierce style with an almightily electro-techno hybrid. Intense and insane, the combination of the unique rubbery-sounding main hook, scratchy white noise effects and epic production make this a standout track.
Bonus track (Digital):
Ortin Cam - Felt (Part 2)
Felt - Part 2 retains the raw, industrial vibe evident in Part 1 but opts to channel
the energy via a killer acid bassline. Pitched to a groovier tempo, the tracks more
subtle approach, funky drum loops and arrangement still pack a massive punch.
